An OUPV license allows you to operate an uninspected passenger vessel of less than 100 tons on Inland, Great Lakes, and Near Coastal Waters that are under the USCG jurisdiction. A $100 deposit is required to register for this course. The remaining $675 is due on the first day of class. (56 hours or 7 days of class)

Master of Up To 100 Ton Passenger Vessels
Go to the Upcoming Classes page to select your course date.
Master allows you to operate an inspected vessel of less than 100 Gross Tons with more than six passengers on USCG waters. Inland, Great Lakes, and Near Coastal Waters. Must be an OUPV or be enrolled in an OUPV course. (24 Hours three days of class time)
Auxiliary Sail Endorsement Course

Must be Master or be enrolled in Master Upgrade Course. This is an endorsement to your Master or Mate license. Allows you to operate an inspected Sailboat with more than six passengers. Must be a Master or be enrolled in a Master Upgrade or 200 Ton Mate upgrade course. (5 hours or 2 evenings of class time)
Marine Radio Operator Permit Course
This FCC course allows you to operate VHF, HF, and SSB Marine Radios in FCC Inspected Radio Stations on Vessels. Also allows you to enter Foreign ports with a VHF radio (No license required to operate a VHF radio on US Domestic Voyages. (1 day)
Upgrade from OUPV or Master to 200 Ton Mate Course

Must be an OUPV, Master, or enrolled in an OUPV course to take this course. Will need 180 days on a 67 Ton Vessel to get the license upgrade. With 180 days on a 67 Ton Vessel as a Mate and you can upgrade to 200 Ton Master.
